Guild

The Assessment Platform for OD Practitioners Who've Outgrown Google Forms

Most OD practitioners run their assessments on a patchwork.

Guild replaces it with a single platform: design your assessment, deliver it to candidates, generate a client-ready branded report. No IT department required.

Most OD practitioners run their assessments on a patchwork. Google Forms for the questions. Excel for scoring. A Word template for the report. One version for Client A, a slightly different one for Client B. It works — until it doesn't.

Guild is a competency assessment platform built specifically for OD practitioners, independent consultants, boutique firms, and in-house L&D teams. It replaces the patchwork with a single platform: design your assessment, deliver it to candidates, generate a client-ready branded report. No IT department required. No enterprise software contract. No per-seat pricing that penalises growth.

What Guild does

Guild covers the full assessment workflow — from design to client delivery — across four modules.

Assess

Build and deliver assessments in the formats you already use: multiple choice, situational judgement tests, Likert-scale behavioural surveys, open-ended questions, forced ranking, and competency-based 360 feedback. Use the core competency library or map to your own framework. Candidates complete the assessment through a clean, mobile-friendly portal — no app, no special access, just a link.

Observe

Run assessment centre observations the way they should be run. Capture structured behavioural notes and voice observations in the field, then convert them into written, formatted reports. No more typed-up debrief notes at midnight. Observe is available on Studio and Atelier plans.

Reflect

Run 360 multi-rater feedback programmes for individual leaders or cohort groups. Raters submit structured feedback against defined competency indicators. The system compiles, weights, and formats the output into a development-ready report. Reflect is available on Studio and Atelier plans.

Refine

Every report that comes out of Guild looks like it came from your practice, not from a platform. Upload your logo and brand colours on PAYG. On Studio and Atelier, choose from multiple report templates with full typographic and colour branding. On Atelier, Guild's branding is removed entirely from all client-facing output — including the candidate portal. Your client sees your firm's name. Not ours.

Who Guild is built for

Independent OD practitioners

You run a solo or micro practice. You have three or four clients at any time. You design good assessments — but you spend hours on the infrastructure around them: formatting questions, scoring responses, building report templates in Word, sending PDFs manually.

Guild handles the infrastructure. You handle the insight.

PAYG credits mean you only pay when you're working. No monthly commitment, no platform fee when a client project ends. Buy a pack when you need it, run your assessments, deliver the report.

Boutique OD firms and small practices

Your firm runs multiple client engagements simultaneously. Different assessment frameworks, different report formats, different branding requirements per client. Right now, that means maintaining multiple versions of multiple templates and hoping nothing gets mixed up.

Guild's Studio plan gives your practice up to 25 active assessments, three practitioner seats, full competency library, and branded report templates for each client. One platform, all your clients, no version control chaos.

In-house L&D and assessment teams

You run assessment programmes for leadership development, promotion decisions, or cohort calibration. The assessment itself is solid — the tooling around it is held together with spreadsheets and goodwill.

Guild's Atelier plan removes the ceiling: unlimited active assessments, up to ten practitioner seats, your own private competency library, and white-label output so the platform is invisible to everyone outside your team.

What practitioners say

“Brilliant. Where have you been? Just what I needed. Excel and Word, Canva for reports, rubrics, scoring, analysis tools — poof, all replaced. Can't tell you how much time I've saved, how many new customers I can now take this to, and how easy it's making things for me.”

Built by practitioners, for practitioners

Guild was built by Rupert Picardo, co-founder of Tryitowl, who has designed and delivered assessment and experiential learning programmes for corporate clients since 2003. His TEDx talk at TEDxLavelleRoad in 2019 drew on nearly two decades of observing what separates assessments that drive behaviour change from assessments that produce PDFs nobody reads a second time. Guild is the infrastructure he spent years wishing existed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a credit?

A credit is the unit of consumption on Guild. Running an assessment draws from your credit balance based on the number of participants and the assessment format. PAYG users buy credits in packs. Studio and Atelier subscribers receive a monthly credit allocation. See the pricing page for full credit details →

What assessment formats does Guild support?

Multiple choice questions (MCQ), situational judgement tests (SJT), Likert-scale behavioural surveys, open-ended text responses, forced ranking exercises, and 360 multi-rater feedback (Studio+). Assessment centre observation with voice note capture is also available on Studio and Atelier plans.

Can I use my own competency framework?

On PAYG and Studio plans, you access Guild's core competency library. On Atelier, you can submit your own proprietary competency frameworks for integration into a private library that only your account can access.

Can I white-label reports so clients only see my firm's branding?

Yes — on the Atelier plan. Guild's name is removed from all client-facing output, including the candidate portal. On Studio, you get full branded report templates (logo, colour, font) but the platform attribution remains. On PAYG, logo upload is available.

Is Guild built for hiring and recruitment?

No. Guild is a development assessment platform. It is built for competency measurement, leadership development, and assessment centre use cases. It is not designed for, and should not be used for, candidate screening or hiring decisions. That is a deliberate positioning choice, not a technical limitation.

How does access work?
