Quick answer
What PoSH Training Is Required to Cover
The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013 — commonly referred to as the PoSH Act — requires every employer with 10 or more employees to conduct regular awareness programmes for all staff.
The legal requirement is training. The practical requirement is understanding. The two are not always the same thing — a slide deck with a quiz at the end satisfies the first without reliably producing the second.
Tryitowl's PoSH training programme is designed to meet the legal requirement and produce genuine awareness: what constitutes sexual harassment under the Act, how to recognise it, what the complaint process looks like, and what both employees and managers are required to do. It covers the Act's definitions, the obligations of the employer, and the specific responsibilities of managers — in a format designed to hold attention rather than lose it in slide three.
How the Programme Is Built
Up to 20 animated modules. The programme is structured as up to 20 short, scenario-based sequences. Each module covers a specific aspect of the Act or a common workplace situation — using animation and real-world scenarios rather than text-heavy slides. Scenarios present situations that employees actually encounter, not edge cases designed to be obviously wrong.
Gamified progression. Completion of each module is tied to scenario responses and reflection prompts. Employees are not passive readers — they make choices within each sequence, and the learning follows from those choices.
Built for India's legal context. The programme is grounded in the PoSH Act 2013 and its 2013 Rules. It references the correct legal definitions, thresholds, and obligations under Indian law — not generic workplace harassment content adapted from a different jurisdiction.
Two delivery formats:
Hosted online
Employees access the programme through a dedicated online link — no LMS required on the organisation's side. HR and compliance teams get access to a dashboard showing completion rates and assessment scores. Completion certificates are generated automatically on finishing the programme.
Ideal for: organisations without an existing LMS, or companies that want quick deployment with minimal IT setup.
Custom SCORM file
A branded SCORM package delivered to the organisation for upload into their own LMS. The SCORM file includes the organisation's logo, a custom introduction, and a certificate page with the organisation's branding.
Organisations that need a shorter programme can choose a customised sequence of 15 modules (or fewer) rather than the full set — the SCORM format makes this straightforward to configure.
Ideal for: organisations with an existing LMS (Moodle, Cornerstone, Docebo, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar) that want PoSH training within their existing compliance infrastructure.
What the Programme Covers
The modules are structured across four areas:
Understanding the Act
What the PoSH Act 2013 covers. The legal definition of sexual harassment. What constitutes a violation — including quid pro quo harassment and hostile work environment. Who is protected and where the Act applies (including remote and hybrid contexts).
Recognising Harassment in the Workplace
Common workplace scenarios across physical, verbal, non-verbal, and digital contexts. The difference between unwelcome behaviour and behaviour that a reasonable person would find acceptable. Bystander situations and what they require.
The Complaint Process
How to make a complaint. What happens after a complaint is filed. The role and responsibilities of the Internal Committee. Timelines and confidentiality requirements. What interim relief the Act allows.
Manager Responsibilities
The specific obligations of managers when they observe or are made aware of harassment — and what the Act requires of them in terms of response, documentation, and escalation.
Completion, Certificates, and Audit Trail
Certificates: Completion certificates are generated automatically for each employee on finishing the programme. Certificates include the employee's name, organisation, date of completion, and the programme title.
Audit trail: HR and compliance teams receive a full record of employee completions — names, dates, assessment scores, and certificate downloads. This is the documentation required for PoSH Act compliance audits.
Hosted version: Dashboard access is provided to the HR/compliance team. Reports can be exported.
SCORM version: Completion and score data is captured by the organisation's own LMS in the standard SCORM format.

FAQs
What must PoSH training cover?▼
India’s PoSH Act 2013 requires employers with ten or more employees to run awareness for all staff on what counts as sexual harassment, how to recognise it, how complaints work, and what managers must do when concerns arise. Training should reference the Act’s definitions and Internal Committee role — not generic harassment slides from another jurisdiction.
How is the Tryitowl PoSH programme built?▼
It uses up to twenty short animated, scenario-led modules with gamified progression so people make choices instead of skimming slides. Content tracks Indian law accurately, and you can deploy it hosted online or as a branded SCORM package (often with a shorter custom module sequence) for your LMS.
What does the programme cover?▼
Modules span understanding the Act, recognising harassment across physical, verbal, non-verbal, and digital channels, how complaints proceed and what the Internal Committee does, plus explicit manager responsibilities when they observe or receive concerns.
How do certificates and audit trails work?▼
Completing the programme generates named certificates. HR and compliance receive exportable completion records with dates and scores — the evidence pack auditors expect for PoSH compliance documentation, whether you use the hosted dashboard or your LMS via SCORM.
How is pricing structured?▼
Pricing depends on organisation size and whether you need hosted delivery or custom SCORM. Contact Tryitowl for a quote; typical turnaround is within one working day.
